There's a First for everything

I've had many firsts in my life! like the first time I peeled my own orange on our senior trip to california! The first time I put on my own sheets on a bed at efy when I was like fifteen! The first time I kissed a boy who was an argentine. The first time I became an aunt at the age of two! And the first time I swore with my neighbor drew one summer we swore everyday! Well last week something happened to me that was a first and a second! So i had a cold and one morning on my drive to school I coughed and some of that gross stuff came up so I needed to spit it out (sorry for the sick details) So i proceeded to roll down my window and I turned to spit it out and everyone knows my bad talents of spitting in the first place so i should have been more cautious but i continued and instead of it going out the window it landed straight on the door right under the open window. YEAH i know! sick so luckily I had this rag in my car and wiped it up! So I laughed real hard by myself and the next day you'd think i would have learned but the exact same thing happened! How is that even possible!

So my life is going pretty great! I am loving student teaching. those kids are super funny. I wish you guys could meet them cause they are pretty funny. THere are a like four though that I wish i could punch or that they would be absent everyday. This one will never stop talking! She tells me that her dad is a circus clown? yeah what a crazy. anywho I'm excited to see you all hopefully this weekend for rachi's birthday dinner! I love you!

my beautiful life

Life is great. Seriously, I don't know if it could get better. I'm not bragging because that would be rude, but I have it pretty good right now. I have a damn sexy husband who lets me pick his zits (reluctantly however), I love my little basement apartment, I'm basically a chef and make the best meals ever, I don't have school this semester, and i don't have to be at work till 10.
I don't get how I'm so lucky, but I am!
Rob and I have a church calling. We teach the 4 year olds. It's interesting. One of the boys still wears diapers. Remember, these children are 4. I don't see how that is possible to be pooping your pants at age 4. There is another little girl who is basically mute. She's deathly allergic to peanuts and hates men. There is a set of twins; one boy one girl. The girl has all brothers and it shows. When we had them draw a picture about choosing the right she drew an alien. Her brother had me draw a donkey for him that turned out looking like a giant pig.
I just pray we don't get assigned sharing time for a while...

Mckenzi Rogers?

Well hello there everyone...

Long time no blog eh? I am oh so very sorry that i have been MIA for so long but sometimes life does that. I am writing this while I sit on my exercise ball at work. You heard me, I sit on one of those lovely exercise balls while I sit at my desk. Sometimes when nobody is around I do sit ups ha ha.
I wish I had access to some fun pictures to put up, but unfortunately I don't have anything! Rob and I have been hella busy these past few whiles. It's a funny joke trying to be a full time student, work full time, and plan a wedding. Good thing I have you girls and other people to help me out!
My favorite thing that has happened lately is... drum roll please... Rob and I finished re-doing our kitchen! It was the worst experience of my life trying to refinish those cupboards, but they turned out great and I love them! Rob and I will have to host fun little parties and you guys can have funny date nights in our basement apartment ha ha.
Well, I'm really excited to see all of you at my shower and hopefully nobody gives me anything too raunchy. I only accept gifts that are mildly raunchy.

how do you call your lover boy?

baaaby, oohh baaby, my sweet baaby, your the one! That's how I would call my lover boy!

This new snow begins the season for argyle socks, boots, scarfs, big coats, hot chocolate, and fire places and so much more fun that I just love! sometimes i think of how nice it would be to live in a place where it is warm all the time like Arizona or Hawaii and how i would not miss the scraping of the windows each morning, the fishtailing on the way to school, or the freezing temperatures but then I just think of all the fun and tradition that we have grown up with in Utah and the lovely snow and I could not live without it for too long.

So my day today was pretty much out of a movie. It all began when I got of the front door and there was a foot of snow on my car and I had to scrape it off while I froze my bum off. Then I get to the school's computer lab to print off my assignment and oh what do you know I forgot to email it to myself last night! That is just great so I hurry and type up some sort of replica that wasn't even good and turned it in. After my classes I go back out to my car and there is a sparkling orange boot on my tire. So I get the papers from my windshield and go back inside and apparently I have too many parking tickets. Yes that's right each day i try to trick the police and park where i'm not supposed to. So I call the number on the paper and they say we'll have someone come pick you up and take you to the office to pay the tickets. So instead of paying over the phone I have to wait 40 minutes for a random stranger to come pick me up. His truck smelled like hot farts and I rode in silence to the office. Then I paid the fifty dollars and finally got my car back. Next i had to drive to Spanish Fork in the crazy weather to get some stuff for school and while i am watching tv as i eat my lunch I cry over a cheesy christmas commercial. What does this day even mean? The rest of the day went pretty well but I didn't even understand all the craziness at the beginning.

Well gang its a treat to know you! good luck with finals and see you at kenzi's shower!

write on the blog!

on a scale of 1 to 10, how much do i love bob marley? that would be 100%. everyone needs to listen to the reggae master. and smoke weed while they do it.

so the other night lisa and i went to see the byu ambassadors performance, and i'll tell you what i learned two things.
thing one: i love old people. this fact was actually already established before this night but it was reinforced at the show. there were the greatest old men there... with checkered sweaters and tan hats or tweed suit coats with elbow patches. and they just loved their little wives with their white hair and pink lipstick. i tell you what, i would rather hang out with old people any day. and i'm not lying either.
thing two: i REALLY REALLY love dancing. this too was already established, but anyways. by this i mean i love dancing. preferably to disco or funk. i also wish i knew how to ballroom cause that would be so fun. sometimes when i go dancing somewhere i can't control myself and i just go crazy. it is such a great feeling. kind of like when you run like the wind, as fast as you can, thats how it is when you go dancing. don't worry i'm not one of those sick dancers that think they are all cute and sexy and stuff. i definitely know that i'm not normal, thats probably why i enjoy it so much. but i also hate it when you go to a dance with lame people that don't even dance and then you feel like a moron all the time, man that sucks.

and i just want to say that reading is the most fantastic thing that has ever been invented. besides a big plate of spaghetti and green beans, of course. sometimes i wish that i could just spend every minute of every day reading, and even then i couldn't get to every book i want to! but my current find, John Steinbeck's East of Eden is wonderful. please read it. actually nicole, remind me to give you the book you wanted. (i can't remember which one it was)

oh yeah, and i have a date with these two little guys this friday! i'm so excited. i think we'll go to stumpy burger. nicole, i know you're cringing but i'll let you know if its good! :P

peace out women, rabid dog.

Halloween is in the Air

So its a chilly thursday evening up here in the northern part of Utah, a small town called Logan. I just got done waitressing and only made a handful of dough tonight, but its ok its only a Thursday. You girls are going to laugh i have a funny little tale to tell, maybe its not that funny but it was way funny to me. Ok so i was walking to my history design class yesterday around perciously 1:30, there was a cold breeze nipping at my nose, not of spot of sunshine in the sky only thick gray clouds lay low across the Logan valley. I found myself crouching my neck further down into my scratchy knit scarf when I realized how close i was walking to these girls in front of me. And i think only i notice these kinds of things cause im weird like this but i specifically noticed that 80% of the girls i passed that day were wearing Uggs, and they tucked them into their jeans. Well one of the two girls tucked hers in, oh my they were the nappiest old black boots and all of a sudden I am dying im laughing so hard because her boots some how were all crunched in at the heel and rolled in toward the ankle like a little kid. I dont know what my problem was but i was out of control laughing, my laughed echoed between the business building and the library. I had to pretend to be on the phone cause i was embarrassed. Danget i wish you girls could of seen it oh well. That was my funny story for the week. Oh and nicole i put this pic up cause it was kind of like your last one you put up haha
love you girls

Sister Friend (sister fran)

P to the r-o-crastination~! That is what my life is right now. I am definatly waiting till the last minute to write this paper for tomorrow. I keep trying to work on it but it just doesn't work out. So you know how you just go throughout life and you think you are just living and going through the motions but then you have these periods and you realize these last three years or so you have just been learning so much about yourself. And that is why we have these years because we need to know what we are like. Yeah I was just thinking about that today. I have learned super huge amounts about myself. and how i act in certain situations and with certain people. Even though at times it was sucky learning it there is no doubt it will help me in the future!

So i have had this sudden urge and goal to do something daring and different this summer and next year. I feel like I just need to move somewhere preferably a city and start my teaching career maybe China or New York and start a side job in craftyness making! And I am going to meet new people and embark on a new life. And people will call me Alice and I will be this chic (pronounced sheek) girl and I will be so independant. And I will ride my bike places and eat cupcakes at cafes outside. and i will read books at the park and have lights outside my apartment hanging around. I will listen to the cutest music and dance around in my underwear and a tank top! i will watch the snow fall down on my balcony wearing cute sweaters and leggings. and write in my journal by lamp light. ha I hope this is not making anyone gag. i just need it so humor me. I just have to do it! But don't worry I will still write on the blog so no one will forget about me.

Well I probably should do my paper now. I already know its going to be crap! but i hope everyone is doing splendid and has a happy halloween. i'll probably see you.

love you!

Naked I Slip

So… somehow I am a nerd and have really started loving anagrams. I think they are the best thing ever invented. To remind you all, (because as of two days ago I didn’t remember what they were,) anagrams are words that if you re-arrange the letters, they make new words that have actual meaning… the above title means pink ladies.

We could create a whole secret code with this stuff….

Who’s who?

Next Beer, Lazy

Dirty Beef Runty

Car Ware Hell

Anal Headers

Cozen Germ Risk

Human Baby User

Snob Recoil On
